About the Opportunity – Permanent – Maintenance Operator

We have a permanent opportunity for an experienced Operator to join our Maintenance team in Greymouth. Play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and continuous operation of civil, water, and maintenance work that keeps our regions running efficiently and sustainably.
Key Responsibilities – Maintenance Operator Jobs in Civil and Water Infrastructure
- Operate and maintain plant, equipment, and tools safely and effectively, following all procedures and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of jobs completed, materials used, and observations as part of reporting requirements.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process, equipment, or safety enhancements.
What You Bring – Skills & Experience Required for Maintenance Operator Roles
- Previous Operator experience in a maintenance, operations, or related field within water, wastewater, civil construction, or infrastructure sectors
- Comfortable working outdoors and in a variety of environmental conditions.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practice, with a personal focus on safe working behaviours.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and undertake training as needed.
- Valid New Zealand driver’s licence Class 4 and WTR
- Legal right to work in New Zealand.
