Key Responsibilities – Maintenance Operator Jobs in Civil and Water Infrastructure

• Operate and maintain plant, equipment, and tools safely and effectively, following all procedures and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of jobs completed, materials used, and observations as part of reporting requirements.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process, equipment, or safety enhancements.

What You Bring – Skills & Experience Required for Maintenance Operator Roles

• Previous Operator experience in a maintenance, operations, or related field within water, wastewater, civil construction, or infrastructure sectors
• Comfortable working outdoors and in a variety of environmental conditions.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practice, with a personal focus on safe working behaviours.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and undertake training as needed.
• Valid New Zealand driver’s licence Class 4 and WTR
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
