About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Class 5 Truck Driver to join our Blenheim team. This permanent role supports civil and road maintenance programmes across Marlborough, delivering materials, plant safely and on time. If you are safety-focused, punctual, and keen to work with a supportive local team, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Class 5 heavy vehicles (including tip trucks, flatdeck and dog trailers) safely and in accordance with company procedures and NZ transport regulations.
Deliver bulk materials, plant and equipment to project sites, ensuring loads are secured, documented and transported without delay or damage.
Undertake pre-start, daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks, reporting defects promptly and ensuring vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
Work closely with site teams and supervisors to meet programme requirements, follow traffic management plans and support onsite activities as required.
Complete accurate trip sheets, fuel and maintenance records and any other required site documentation in a timely manner.
Adhere to health, safety and environmental standards, participate in toolbox talks and contribute to a positive safety culture.
Skills & Experience
Minimum current Class 5 driver licence with a clean, verifiable driving history.
Proven experience operating heavy vehicles in civil construction, quarry, roading or similar environments.
Knowledge of load restraint, vehicle checks and safe loading/unloading practices.
Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with diverse teams and contractors.
Flexible and reliable approach to rostered hours, including occasional early starts or extended shifts when projects demand.
