About the Opportunity – Quarry Maintenance Supervisor

Quarry Maintenance Supervisor Key Responsibilities – Safety, Plant & Equipment
- Lead, organise, and supervise a maintenance team in carrying out preventative, scheduled, and reactive maintenance on quarry plant, fixed and mobile equipment, and related infrastructure.
- Champion a zero-harm culture by ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines and reporting any incidents or risks.
- Liaise closely with site managers, engineers, contractors, and external suppliers to deliver reliable, high-quality maintenance solutions.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts inventory, supporting audit and compliance requirements.
- Support the training, development, and well-being of team members, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Skills and Experience – Quarry, Maintenance, and Team Leadership
- Proven experience in maintenance roles within the quarrying, mining, heavy industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
- Extensive maintenance experience working on both fixed and mobile crushing plant.
- Demonstrated team leadership abilities, with a focus on coaching, motivating, and developing people from diverse backgrounds.
- Mechanical, electrical, or plant/equipment maintenance skills, with strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of New Zealand health, safety, and environmental standards relevant to quarry operations.
- Engineering or fitter background.
- Current New Zealand driver’s license.
