Key Responsibilities

• Operate graders for the efficient maintenance and repair of roads, streets, and civil infrastructure in compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Carry out daily operator checks and routine maintenance on graders and other plant, ensuring all equipment is in safe working condition.
• Work collaboratively with site teams, supervisors, and contractors to achieve the highest standards of quality and productivity on maintenance and minor construction projects.
• Proactively identify and report hazards, contribute to site safety culture, and participate in toolbox talks and risk assessments.
• Support a positive and inclusive team environment, ensuring respectful communication and collaboration at all times.

Experience & Skills

• Experience as a Grader Operator & operating heavy machinery in road maintenance, civil construction, or similar environments.
• Sound understanding of Health & Safety and environmental practices on New Zealand sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to support others.
• Full New Zealand Driver’s Licence (Class 2 or above preferred); Wheels, Tracks, and Rollers endorsements essential.
• Physically fit and able to work in a variety of outdoor conditions.
