About the Asphalt Plant Operator Role

As an Asphalt Plant Manufacturing Operator, you will operate, monitor, and maintain machinery involved in the production of asphalt. This is a hands-on position requiring technical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to health and safety standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and control the asphalt plant according to company procedures

• Monitor production processes to ensure consistent quality of asphalt mixes

• Carry out routine maintenance and inspections of Asphalt plant

• Record and report production data accurately

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly

• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production targets

Required Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in an asphalt plant, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred, but not essential

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and maintain Asphalt machinery

• Understanding of health and safety standards in a Asphalt manufacturing environment

• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team

• Effective communication and problem-solving skills

• Basic knowledge of computer systems for data input and monitoring

Education and Qualifications

• Relevant vocational qualifications or training in manufacturing or Asphalt plant operations an advantage

• Full, valid NZ driving licence beneficial

Asphalt Plant Operator Shift Patterns and Working Hours

This role will involve shift work, including early mornings, afternoons, & night shifts, as well as weekend work to meet production targets.
