About the Role: We are seeking a hands-on Paving Foreman to join our Surfacing team based in Christchurch. This role will lead day-to-day surfacing and asphalt paving activities across roading and civil projects, ensuring works are completed safely, to specification and on programme. The successful candidate will combine practical plant and paving experience with leadership skills to supervise crews, manage quality and support continuous improvement on site.

Experience and Skills

• Proven experience in surfacing and asphalt paving operations, including working knowledge of paving plant and compaction equipment.

• Good understanding of surfacing materials, compaction processes and quality control measures.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with site teams, subcontractors and clients.

• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements for construction sites and commitment to promoting a positive safety culture.

• Relevant NZ Licence; Class 2 - desirable & WTR - essential.
