About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and organised Maintenance Contract Manager to join our Greymouth team. This role will manage and deliver maintenance contracts across the West Coast region. The role involves managing day-to-day contract delivery, coordinating crews and subcontractors, monitoring compliance with specifications and safety requirements, and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure high-quality, timely outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the delivery of maintenance contracts & develop, review, and negotiate contract variations, programmes, and service requirements to support successful delivery outcomes.
Collaborate with Client, Engineering Professionals, Sub Contractors, and key stakeholders to achieve contract objectives.
Maintain accurate contract documentation, records, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Monitor contractor performance, oversee variations to works, and ensure delivery aligns with agreed requirements, timeframes, and budgets.
Gather, analyse, and report on project data, trends, and outcomes to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Promote and enforce a strong health, safety and environmental culture on site; lead toolbox talks, complete hazard assessments and ensure control measures are in place.
Build and maintain effective relationships with client, stakeholders and contract teams; communicate progress, risks and programme changes clearly.
What you will bring:
3 years + Proven experience managing maintenance contracts, service delivery, or similar contract-based environments.
Strong understanding of contract management principles, including variations, compliance, reporting, and performance monitoring.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently manage expectations and resolve issues.
A proactive approach to identifying risks, opportunities, and solutions to support successful contract outcomes.
Experience analysing project data, monitoring performance, and using insights to drive continuous improvement.
A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, with experience promoting a positive safety culture.
Current and valid New Zealand Class 1 driver’s licence.
