Key Responsibilities – Construction Supervisor Jobs Dunedin

• Supervise and coordinate daily site operations for civil infrastructure projects, ensuring works are completed safely, to specification, and within programmed timeframes.
• Lead, motivate, and mentor diverse crews, driving a positive culture of teamwork, professionalism, and development.
• Champion health and safety best practice, conduct regular site inspections, tool-box talks, and ensure compliance with all legislative and company requirements.

Skills & Experience – Civil Construction Supervisor Roles

• Proven experience supervising teams on civil construction or infrastructure projects, with demonstrated ability to deliver successful project outcomes.
• Strong working knowledge of New Zealand construction practices, safety regulations, and site management techniques.
• Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills, with a collaborative and constructive approach to solving problems.
• Ability to interpret and action project specifications, read construction plans, and maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Highly organised, adaptable, and resilient, with a keen focus on quality, timeframes, and cost control.
• Competency in daily site reporting, timesheets, and basic computer use for documentation and communication.
• Relevant trade or supervisory qualification, Site Safe or NZQA certification advantageous; a full New Zealand driver’s licence is essential.
