About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 5 driver to join our Christchurch-based Transport team. This role involves safe and timely delivery of materials and specialised liquids to construction sites, supporting project schedules while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Safely transport goods to designated locations following all local driving regulations.
Tanker delivery of Emulsion and Bitumen products, when required.
Verify delivery instructions and ensure accurate logging of deliveries.
Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle.
Communicate effectively with the logistics team to optimise route efficiency.
Perform routine vehicle checks and report maintenance or repair needs.
Adhere to health, safety and environmental requirements on site, including use of PPE and following site-specific induction procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
Possess a full New Zealand driving licence Class 5.
Previous experience in a driving role is essential, preferably with bulk cartage of aggregate, snow clearing & bulk liquid deliveries.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Good geographical knowledge of Christchurch and surrounding areas.
Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks.
