About the Opportunity – Project Manager
Are you an organised and proactive project professional ready to lead civil construction projects from pre-construction through to completion? We are seeking a Project Manager or Project Engineer to join our established civil construction team in Dunedin. This permanent role offers the chance to manage varied infrastructure works, deliver on-time and on-budget outcomes, and contribute to projects that make a meaningful difference to local communities.

An Experienced Project Manager
Or an experienced Project Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and deliver civil construction projects from mobilisation to practical completion, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and company standards.
Develop and manage project programmes, budgets and forecasts; identify and report on variances and recommend corrective actions.
Engage and manage subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to achieve safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes.
Champion health, safety and environmental standards on site; lead toolbox talks, safety observations and incident investigations as required.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities and stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
Mentor and develop project engineers and site-based teams, supporting continuous improvement and professional growth.
Skills & Experience – What You’ll Bring
Proven experience delivering civil construction projects, preferably within roading, utilities, structures or earthworks sectors.
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Competence in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and site surveys.
Relevant tertiary qualification or formal project management training is advantageous.
